Competition for Young Organists
Saturday, February 28, 1015a - 115p
All Saints Episcopal Church, 1559 N Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Admission is free and open to the public
Three competitors will compete at approximately 1015 a.m., 1105 a.m. and 1155 a.m. Judges hope to announce their decision at 1 p.m. Music of Bach, Widor, Vierne, Dello Joio, Eben and Bolcom
This competition, held in odd-numbered years, is sponsored and administered by the nine regions of the American Guild of Organists. Indianapolis is in Region V of the AGO. Competitors must be under 23 years of age as of August 1 of the year the competition is held. The first round of competition begins at the chapter level. The final round is held concurrent with the Region V Convention this summer in Detroit.
Prizes: First place - $1,000; Second - $500. Third place - $300.

SERIES: “Living the Questions: Exploring ‘What is Next’ for Christianity in the 21st Century”
A 20-minute video include conversations with leading voices of faith, sermon and stories among leading theologians and preachers. There will also be materials presented for conversation and discussion during the Forum after the video presentation. Forums will be led by Fr. Steven and others.

We are fortunate to have a variety of preachers available to us on the Sundays in Lent this year. In addition to our Bishop, Catherine Waynick presiding on the First Sunday of Lent (March 1) and preaching, there will be a series of different preachers during this Holy Season and I invite you to welcome them and hear these various women and men as they proclaim God’s Word in Scripture to us.
