IMG_0102

All Saints participated in the AIDS Walk on Saturday, October 10, with 9 Team members walking the 3 mile route.

Team members proudly carried the All Saints banner. Parishioners supported this event in many ways, by monetary contributions, joining the Team on-line, and walking in this event. The amount of funds raised is not yet determined.

Thanks to all for supporting this important cause that provides emergency shelter, utilities, food, medicine and other daily living needs.

September Yard Sale

check

Fr. Jeff Bower, Rector at St. John's Episcopal Church in Speedway, accepted the check for $ 1,500 from the proceeds of the September 19 yard sale at last Sunday's forum, led by the Outreach Committee.

These funds will be used for the food pantry at St. John's and will benefit several families. Many thanks to everyone in the parish that participated in so many different ways to make the yard sale so successful.

The remaining balance of funds from the yard sale, approximately $ 1,500, will benefit the Operating Fund at All Saints.

Sacred Spain

Sacred Spain: art and belief in the Spanish World
Exhibit at IMA Oct 11 - January 3, 2010
coordinated by Richard McCoy (restorer of Mary statue)

Mr. Richard McCoy, (who restored All Saints’ statue of the Virgin Mary) who is on the staff of the sculpture restoration department at the Indiana Museum of Art, stopped by All Saints to give the parish some flyers about an upcoming exhibit he coordinated.

Richard just returned two weeks ago after spending two months in Spain arranging with museums in Madria, Valencia and Toledo as well as other Spanish cities for priceless art pieces to be on loan to the IMA. Masters’ works by El Greco and Velasquez among others will be on display. Flyers are on the back table in Church (as of October 4) for “Free Admission.”
