PLEDGING
A Christian steward does not dedicate time, talent, and treasure that they may become God’s, but because they are God’s. We have been blessed in many ways this past year and now we have the opportunity to express our gratefulness by making or renewing a commitment to the mission of The Episcopal Church of All Saints. Express your commitment by regular participation in worship and parish ministries, and by filling out the following pledge information and returning it to the treasurer. Every pledge, no matter what amount makes a valued contribution to our mission and ministry.
HOW MUCH DO I PLEDGE?
Make giving one of the necessary costs of your household budget. When you make giving a core budget item you have the satisfaction of knowing this important aspect of your life is aligned with your values. Let giving evolve with your life. Have the proportion of your income stay the same, with the dollar amount of your giving changing as your financial situation changes.
Each of us will arrive at a unique proportion to set aside for God and others. Some will decide to work towards the standard of the tithe or beyond. For others, a proportion of 1% might represent the “widow’s mite”. As you consider how much you are able to give, remember that it will take $208,000 (based on the 2008 budget adjusted for inflation), in addition to our Diocesan assistance, to operate All Saints as it was in 2008. Our goal is to, at a minimum, provide for the current programs and ministries.
